Freebie here too. Again, IRR number - I took that briefly after giving up Gramophone at its nadir. Seems to have proper articles in it (before I gave it up, reviews apart it took as long to read as it did to turn the pages) but I'm not about to start again.
I wonder what their success rate will be with this? Targeted, certainly, but expensive.....

Also got a free mag this morning. I used to buy every month and keep them. Now all dumped but for old times' sake I've kept the first and last copies I bought (Oct 71 and Nov 2005). I really used to look forward to Gramophone as my main source of news and reviews but now there is so much online I don't miss it and I won't be renewing. I occasionally thumb through a copy at the newsagent's but haven't actually bought a copy since 2005.

The digital version is the answer, n'est-ce pas?

The closure of IRR left a big hole and The Gramophone is not filling it by a long way. (Sorry - I can't remember if The Gramophone currently has a definite article or not. It seems to be in the same category as The Radio Times and The Wigmore Hall.)
