    eMusic Revamped

I gave up on eMusic some while ago.

However it seems it has recently been taken over, and I have received emails inviting me to rejoin, and indicating that all my previous purchases are in the cloud and available for playing. I'm not sure if I can download them all again without having to pay a lot, or repay to download tracks.

I should have most of the tracks available on various disk drives, but some are on machines which I'd like to decommission. If the new offer does allow me to download most or all of my previous tracks, then that could save a lot of bother.

One might question whether it is really worthwhile, but some of the tracks were hard to obtain at the time, such as the Würzburg Percussion CD tracks from an album called Impulse, This does now seem to be available from other sources, and the CD is available used at present for under £5 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...condition=used

Anyway, it might be worth just testing the water re the revamped eMusic, though I don't want to get caught with another long term expensive subscription.

If anyone else has recent experience, or recently rejoined, it would be good to know.

I've still not followed up the new things on or about emusic. However I did find this, which dates from October 2015 - http://techcrunch.com/2015/10/20/mus...artup-triplay/

I also noted that today when I tried to enter the emusic site I was confronted with a message from my computer that the site does not have a suitable up to date security certificate. Hopefully this just means that the site is gradually working its way back into life, though in the worst case there could be scams allowing malsters to gain access to private information and use it in a hostile manner.
