Music in your Christmas stocking - what did you get ?

A seriously indulgent ( and slightly early ! ) Hi Fi present to self this year in the form of a new Chord Hugo DAC has allowed numerous recordings to emerge freshly minted from my Harbeth's and ProAc's since it arrived.

I too indulged on a Hugo DAC earlier in the year after hearing a demo against my previous (excellent) Audiolab DAC. It's amazing how much more detail a good DAC can get out of CDs.

You may well be right, I'd not looked at studio equipment. the Hugo DAC does however sound superb with my Quad ELS 2805s.

Father Christmas brought me 2 discs of the Naxos Leroy Anderson orchestral music series (BBCCO/Slatkin) and the Decca Nielsen Complete Symphonies/Maskarade etc. (SFSO/Blomstedt etc.) The Anderson discs have been played a few times already and I'm looking forward to settling down to work my through the Nielsen.
