Failure in Bodmin gave me the perfect excuse to try Liskeard. Fortunately the Co-op there came up trumps after complete failure on that score in the Oxfam shop and British Heart Foundation

PS The said BHF also had a copy of Ferber Vol 2, with the wonderful Theme and Variations op73 and much more. Still there for the discerning LP collector...
...and then maybe a 40-yr wait for Vol 1

He did the Prague as well? Oh, my goodness, this could be expensive.

          Around £3 (incl P&P) used:

... I have this collection (which cost me a tenner about twelve years ago):

... nowadays, I would probably go for the larger collection with the Choral works and Concertos added IF I could find a cheaper copy!

Yes a pity the larger one is so costly. I'll be going for some cheapo second hand. Thanks for the info.

The Maazel/Mahler Wiener Philharmoniker symphony set is pure and simple brilliant.

                  Great find.

We listened to Symphony 1 tonite. Perhaps not the most idiomatic but fabulous playing from the Vienna Philharmonic.

The Fourth is my highlight of that set by some way.
