Imagine what it would have been like in HD

Noddy did look Eric Morcambe in those days. More disconcerting is to see myself standing a few rows behind him.....with hair

And even in those days we couldn't wait till the end for the applause. Off with our heads.

What a totally awesome clip Ammy! Thanks! The audience - including we gather our friend Mr Newman - bopping like crazy towards the end like an early Glastonbury crowd (same summer, I think). And Noddy!!!!

Oh what a wonderful memory to have, Chris!

I've always admired, nay loved, Noddy's style of communication and it isn't always about directing traffic

What are we having for lunch, nurse? ?

That old nursing home story ...

Woman to elderly relative in nursing home:

"Hello dear! Do you know who I am?"

" No dear but don't worry - ask Matron, she knows who everyone is!"

Sooner rather than later for some of us, I'm afraid - Nurse?! The Screens!!

You won't get Soviet era brass but this new DVD of the BBCSO under Rozhdestvensky at a 1981 Prom performance of the Act 2 Nutcracker is sheer magic. I was there that night and recall it with immense pleasure. Not seen the DVD yet but one for my birthday wish list in a month's time
