However CDs and streaming bear a fundamental similarity. They are both digital and have quiet backgrounds and longer playing times than vinyl, and no changing sides, no fighting dust bunnies , no cartridge alignment issues, etc. However while many perceive these impediments as annoyances, LP lovers embrace them. I don’t see people embracing the relative inconvenience of CD relative to streaming (primarily fiddling with and storing jewel boxes) in the same fashion
