All of 'em, or just 1 to 8 (the Decca recordings)?

Not sure I suspect you are right and it will be 1-8

Though I note that Universal did issue a limited edition boxed set of all nine symphonies under the Decca label (Japan) a few years ago (silly price (used) on amazon.co.uk).

...and Universal do have access to the Westminster catalogue!

The Ninth was a big disappointment, the one real misfire in that cycle. The Second and Sixth were the best, imo.

Very unstable first movement I recall but in some ways that was an interesting perspective - if it was meant to depict chaos and order slowly emerging.

Exactly - then it could well be all 9!

Apparently it will also include not only a number of overtures but also another recording of the Eroica made with the Cgebouw for Philips .

I have that Eroica. It came with rehearsal extracts. I think Monteux addressed the Orchestra in French.

Well, if the Eloquence set uses the same remasterings as the Japanese box, you are in for a treat (no Concertgebouw Eroica, alas, from Japan). I'm even prepared to forgive having had to pay duty (OK) and a Royal Mail "handling fee" (not so OK) for the privilege of being able to listen to Monteux's delightful take on the Second Symphony, which, to my shame, I'd never previously heard.
