I have a recording of Riccardo Muti conducting Verdi’s Four Sacred Pieces with the Berlin Philharmonic; Swedish Radio Chorus & Stockholm Chamber Choir on EMI CDC 7 47066 2. For some reason the CD booklet does not provide the date and location of the recording. I was wonderfing if any reader may be able to share that information with me?

gives the year as 1983

Thanks for confirming that year 1983. I have now searched the Berlin Philharmonic archive for 1983 and this have come up.

So it looks like it was November 1983.
