Yes, I haven't risked going in on this trip (though SWMBO has been in looking at DVDs) as I have so many CDs at home unheard! Tomorrow is our last day, and we traditionally have our last lunch at the Café le Luxembourg, just up the road, so there is still time ...

Whoa! I've given some false information in #12, after reading the wrong side of the bag from the shop.
The shop I've known for some years, 5 minutes from Les Halles (and with the pizzas opposite) is:
Librarie Gilda at 36 Rue des Bourdonnais (classical CDs and books downstairs).
They have another shop, called Paralleles, at 47 Rue Saint-Honore, which must be also nearby, but I have not sampled it.
