But BBM wants the finest music known to man, and he wants it now.

            Wow.

Anyway, talking of Scotland, where's Mangerton these days ?

                Computer files are stuff.

I'm guessing Mrs BBM doesn't want new shelves, just wants a way to keep the CDs out of the way. The shelf seller, CD sellers, et. al. can go and work for Spotify... they might prefer it to lugging around lumps of wood and plastic... as might BBM (which does BBM prefer, fondling sheves & plastic disks, or fondling wife?:)...)

Just how many vacancies for shelf makers/sellers and CD maker/sellers does Spotify have?

And "disc" is spelt with a C (even in America for the circular kind).

I'm guessing that most people who sell CDs for a living probably don't want to go and work for Spotify, and would probably resent being told to.

I work as national accounts manager for a publisher, mostly selling real paper books , the sort that people actually prefer to the kindle editions that we also sell, according to our sales figures. And I kind of like doing the job I do, and don't really want to go work for Amazon/kindle, as an example of how the suggestion above and might impact real people.

Which is all rather OT, I suppose....

Good heavens, I have had a right laugh this morning! Thanks all/1 :) The bookcases have been ordered. They take a while as they have to be handmade. Waxed pine ones! Should look pretty good!! 7' x 9'! So I hope there will be a fair bit of room for more CDs! I have nearly 2000.

I got round this one by putting everything onto computer (the CDs are in boxes in the attic). It was lots of work but the end result is great, I do however miss the sleeve notes.

Unfortunately, MA, we don't live in a place that has an attic. But, in an ideal world, I do love the physical aspect of holding a CD.
