Dear All
We have a very precious cassette (backed-up to PC and CDR) of Gidon Kremer and a group of soloists playing the Quintet live. It's on Philips and has the Hagen's doing Haydn Op1/1 as a fill-up.
It's an outstanding version and definitely our first choice for this work so we're keen to get a CD version. However it seems to have vanished without trace! Internet searches throw up his performance of the piece (orchestrated) with Kremerata Baltica but it's as if this one never existed.
Does anyone know the story? Did Philips lose the rights somehow?
Thanks
