After a shaky start I rather enjoyed the Stravinsky though she brings out romance that he might not have intended . On that disc the Bartok Second Sonata is stupendous !

Well, it's an interesting performance! I appreciate that it wasn't such a repertoire staple that it is now and some of the orchestral playing is a bit shaky. It sounds, imho, as if she and the conductor were not quite in accord with their 'vision' of the work. In fact, it sounds to me as if she's trying to lose the conductor in the last movement!Originally posted by Barbirollians View Post
