Well - they're your rules, but none of them are called George?

            Well, there's always Joshua Bell!
How about gorgeous boy pianists? Pogorelich? Stephen Osborne? Anderszewski?

Some fine nominations there, Ferret - talented totty all.

Mr Pogorelich is rather more mature than when first we saw him but still looking good and playing interestingly if this review is anything to go by:

I attended an RFH concert a ciuple of seasons ago in which Gustavo Dudamel and the Philharmonia accompanied Anderszewski in Brahms piano concerto no1. Afterwards PA played some solo JS Bach as an encore - I was a very happy bunny

The late, and very lovely, Iona Brown.
(She once asked me to take my trousers off, but we won't go into that here.)

Correct. She's the one who lives in Jersey to avoid tax.

As an Italian-Scot myself ... well, third generation ... it would just have to be the lovely young Nicola.

One could hardly get any more drop-dead gorgeous, divinely blessed with such an immaculate physical and intellectual blood mix ..

Are we running out of things to talk about if we have to resort to such facile threads?

Some have been arguing that the tipping point arrived some while ago, EA

For us "authentick" enthusiasts, it was always pleasing to the eye to see the very fanciable violinist Miles Golding in various English baroque bands - is he still around, I wonder?

Yes, and ever since her very sad demise it's felt very tasteless to make the joke - Iona Brown, violin
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
