On the above subject of premiere's taking place around the days of MB's births,Copland's Music for a Great City was probably (due to the time difference) receiving its US premiere as I was being born or in the first couple of hours of my life. The 2nd movement has haunted me since I first heard it (before I was aware of the date of its US Premiere!).
