      ams, that's even better! I shall have to ponder on my aversion to on-line shopping. It is basically a dislike of buying with credit card numbers. I dont like shopping by numbers, you can spend a fortune and not realise that you are poorer, because no money has actually left your wallet. At least when you go out with a wallet with cash in it, you know how much it is and you know when its gone.

      There is also the thought that for a bit over forty quid I can buy the CDs and have a pleasant chat and a nice cup of coffee. And I can put a bit of business the way of a business I like, I dont have any feelings about Amazon.

        I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope your hearing does return. Is it general hearing, or just music?
        I have a friend who is a very good pianist, but he doesn't like listening to music now as he says the pitches are all wrong. He's spent a small fortune trying to get acceptable hearing aids. I think the best he'd had until recently gave acceptable pitches, but his piano turns into a honky-tonk.
