Langgaard's string quartets...

Having read a very positive review of the new recording by the Nightingale Quartet (DACAPO) in the most recent edition of Gramophone I thought I would purchase it. On my limited acquaintance, it's very interesting music, if not reaching the heights that other composers have achieved for this most testing of genres.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

I have the first two discs in the Nightingale Quartet series and I think that they are rather splendid.
