By a forum people’s vote but maybe using more statistically sound means than previously!

So we all have to settle for Bruckner 8 being the top Symphony as deemed democratically by the Forum. Fine but ....

It's the will of the people. We can't have a second vote on it ............

Huh? Oh yes, I get it now - completely unintentional.

Anyway, I'm remaining with Bruckner 8 as the bestest symphony ever.

...but thankfully listeneing to it is optional - 3 of the 10 would be outside my personal top 50!

Elgar 1 & 2, LvB 7 and Schubert 9 would be outside of my top 100, as fine as they are.

It's all very well, this voting for music of previous centuries, but would it be more interesting to see a list of favourite music written this century?
Last night's Here & Now did this for ten R3 presenters, with musical extracts of course. I found I could see a link between the presenters' temperements and the music they chose.
Probably best to exclude soloists, songs, or pure choral pieces, for now.
Should a new thread be started, or have I missed an existing one?

Just as interesting, I'd say - but it's not the exam question.

Here and now needs shaking up, in my opinion (and the R3's attitude to this programme and the genre).
