Colin Davis Legacy on LSO LIve

I have just received an email from the LSO confirming the release of a tribute to Sir Colin on LSO Live in April:

The London Symphony Orchestra inspires hearts and minds through extraordinary music-making – with concerts at home in London at the Barbican Centre and LSO St Luke's, on tour around the world, and online.

The set is a bit more than a selection of his previously released LSO Live recordings. As far as I can see, Le francs-juges, the Berlioz Te Deum, Sibelius Oceanides, Pohjola's Daughter and Vaughan Williams' 4th Symphony are all new releases. The set also includes SACD releases of the Symphonie Fantastique and Dvorak 9th Symphone as well as a DVD documentary about Sir Colin.
"I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."
