Exceptional Cyprien Katsaris recital on TTN

Catriona Young presents a recital given by celebrated pianist Cyprien Katsaris.

I thought the version of the Chopin PC#1 Larghetto for solo piano was quite fantastic

Worth a listen, if you missed it - basically, the first 90 minutes of the programme.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Thanks for the pointer. His 1999 Carnegie Hall recital is one of the most exciting Chopin discs I've encountered. And I know he's made a recording of the second concerto for solo piano, too.

His Liszt transcriptions of Beethoven symphonies are a revelation and, to my mind, an essential purchase.
