Now we are to have the In Tune mixtape ( the very borrowing of a term which in its modern usage is how a rap album is described rather than what one used to make on your little cassette player in your bedroom as a token of love when you were 16)makes me cringe.

It sounds like it will be no more than half an hour of Smooth Classics at 7 - Perfect Curve from W1A reakly have taken over Radio 3 .

Given how almost universal [at least on the Forum threads] is the dismissal of KD in any form, it always amazes me how she continues to be so flavour of any and every month for R3 management.
For me, she, a bit like Ian MacMillan [the embarrassingly Professional OTT Yorkshireman], is an instant turn-off. And, incidentally, I am a Yorkshireman, so..........

If someone is bland and "accessible" they go far at Radio 3 .

                  Yes, on Twitter yesterday.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thank you. Desperately seeking silver linings - does this mean that Afternoon on Three will no longer be grated by her presence?

Perhaps the Return of the Swain?

Now that would be splendid - as, indeed, would the general absence of "another voice" from Ao3.

I'm afraid the whole thing smacks of musical chairs, with the loss of at least one presenter (JJ) and the rest moving around, probably being asked to do more for the same money

It is difficult to know how to put this as I am all in favour of diversity but it is striking that the sackings appear to be all men being replaced by women presenters. I wonder whether R3's diversity targets are the real reason behind some of the changes .

Well, he's not talking about the presenter of In Tune, who is Sean Rafferty!
