I enjoyed an item on Wednensday's broadcast. It was an intermezzo , for soprano and baritone, I think. I would like to acquire it, specifically the same performance - so I looked on the programme's site but strangely, it doesn't appear!! Does anyone know what it was? I'm not an opera fan but this could be a way in for me.......a potentially life-changing experience!

Just a wild guess: Telemann's Intermezzo "Pimpinone". (I didn't hear Wednesday's COTW)
From The New Grove: Under Telemann - Other frags, etc.: 2 Intermezzos (texts only).Last edited by Pianorak; 23-11-12, 09:34.My life, each morning when I dress, is four and twenty hours less. (J Richardson)

Blimey - a whole week of music I did not know and I was not patronised. Not entirely sure I have been converted to the Telemann cause, but I know much more about him now. Much more varied than the little bits I knew. R3 can do it if it wants.
