No not at all! I think he got Tárrega right and it was a lovely piece.

I heard TS and the piece, on a long 50mph stretch (25 miles!) of roadworks on the M1, and knew the pronunciation was a contentious issue, and thought, "I must look up the proper pronunciation".
And now I don't have to search for the thread!

Believe it or not there is a Spanish composer pronunciation guide on the net complete with audio demo. I think Tom got reasonably close . Better than me saying Chorizo at any rate . Once went into a local pub ordered “Koreezo “ crisps and handed them by the barmaid with the words “here’s your choreetho crisps” .Turned out she was learning Spanish and it was one of the first words they learnt to pronounce…

Have to say Spanish music,and classical guitar are of note in passing, for me. So, on a quick look - would that be "Luciano Classical Guitar" on YT?

(I hope to get in on a performance of the Vespers before my voice gives up on me, the DVD was on offer at half price and I never quite conquered the pronununciation last time I sung it. Also, I wonder if I should try a basic study of the international phonetic alphabet, however, that's a good intention I've never quite followed up....)
