I'd second a return of Catherine Bott. Beautiful voice, whether speaking or singing. I treasure her 'Dido and Aeneas' on Oiseau-Lyre.

One of the best progs on R3 for me is Night Tracks. Varied, quiet, few - if any -announcements, just musical links, restful, interesting.

By my count that's your 11th promo for Night Tracks, Draco. To me the playlist is Elizabeth Alker's Unclassified with the odd classical track thrown in, and SMP instead of EA. I'Il admit SMP would probably be more to my taste than EA - but not with another R3 'restful' programme. Who said R3 was 'woke'? Half asleep most of the time.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

In my former occupation SMP stood for Skimmed Milk Powder rather than Sarah Mohr-Pietsch. Is there a difference ?

Sara is fine. I just don’t think she’s been given the best programmes. I don’t listen to the New Music programme but she knows her stuff.

Excellent. I was thinking about the content of the programme

Unfortunately it's not limited to Saturdays.

If you’ve ever been an employer SMP can only be Statutory Maternity Pay. For those who went to ILEA schools in the sixties it could also be the School Mathematics Project.
EA is surely The Environment Agency ?

She's presenting Record Review next Saturday.
