John Shea tweeted this TTN Christmas do photo yesterday. Lovely to see some of my favourite* R3 voices / presenters.
        John Shea @johnshea63
Many of you know that Catriona Young, Jonathan Swain and I record @BBCRadio3 Through the Night some weeks in advance. We're not *actually* calling today's gathering our Christmas lunch, but... @BrownsBrasserie

        * In terms of hours, I listen to more TTN than anything else on R3 by a considerable margin. So that might bias the stats a little, not that that's ever worried the R3 greasy eminences.

I'm amazed Alan Davey didn't send a BBC staff photographer to capture the auspicious occasion....

Perhaps he moonlights as a waiter at Brown's...?

The pic just distills the role TTN holds for me in my R3 listening.

Yes, I wish Donald Macleod could have been in it as well. Susan Sharpe?

I wonder where Jonathan Swain parked his bike?

No - it's perfect just to see the TTN Three.

Thoroughly enjoying this morning's TTN - the Monteverdi "Beatus Vir" is sublime.

Psalm settings by Claudio Monteverdi, Salomone Rossi and Elam Rotem
                        Through the Night
A concert at the Thüringia Bach Festival in Arnstadt on the theme of '1,700 years of Jewish life in Germany and 900 years in Thüringia'. Catriona Young presents.

                          Agreed.

My problem with TTN at the moment is that there is not enough time in the day to listen to all that I would like. ....Not to mention Downloads......prioritize, I guess.

                            An embarrassment of riches indeed.

It could be said there is ‘something of the night’ about them but in their case something more pleasant than the politician to whom this term was addressed!
