I usually enjoy PP but will admit to not knowing what to expect since I am not watching Maestro and had really never heard of him. As it started with a discussion of his rent-boy past and he continued to camp it up big time for the rest of the show I also found it very entertaining. Any programme where Mme Netrebko sings about her hot lips must have something going for it. MB also seemed to be having a good time.Originally posted by Anna View PostComment

Indeed, and it was his enthusiasm that is infectious. Quite honestly, the last few Saturday Classics have been dire, yesterday, with Kathryn Stott and the previous with Brigit Forsyth, were, I think, awful and hackneyed. I'd rather have Craig RH and a bit of spikiness, albeit camp, on a Saturday afternoon .Comment
