Did anyone feel brave enough to listen to Saturday Classics today. I dipped in in the car, but dipped out again before hearing any verbal stuff.

trouble is, its just a carbon copy of all those other threads.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Any fuel can foresee that a programme which has Gabriel Prokofiev with his selection one week and Katie Derham reminiscing about her experiences on Strictly Come Dancing the next is struggling to find its natural audience.
The really bizarre thing is that I'm pretty sure you have more in common with the 'old fossils' than KD and SCDIt isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

You are so right that Radio 3 is struggling to find its natural audience. In truth I am becoming increasingly drawn to Classic FM as I know where I stand with it's programmes. The other week when there was a short on-air discussion on R3 about Katie Derham's dancing prowess and how great her leg's were I felt that R3 had reached an all time low.
