Undeniably, team. No answer to that (is there?)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Nonetheless - it does show faith in the future of "classical Music" that a three-hour programme, like this morning's, can be based on mostly living performers. (Only four dead ones - Boulez, Belohlavek, Harnoncourt, Abbado - and those recently "departed".)

Just checked Rob's playlist for his show on CFM on Saturday ....... 16 pieces in 2 hours including 5 in the first 18 minutes .... All by dear departed composers I think ........

                (Rather illustrates Zucchini's point.)

Still curious! Are you talking about the reference back to the charter renewal submission...?

I am .... perhaps I am far too defensive of Skellers

A few months ago Suzy Klein played just one movement - I can't remember which.

Is the day approaching when Ian or Suzy will play the entire work, all 16 minutes of it?

Right now, I'd settle for the Britten, the whole thing. Can't wait!
I May be wrong but was the full Bruckner not part of the, then, policy to play the BAL winner on Monday’s EC .... ??? I thought that was a good plan .....

I think you're right. Another regrettable 'omission' is the evening repeat of CotW - especially this week.

You don't find the half-hour mix(ed-up)tape a good substitute then.....?
