"former drummer of The Police", sounds like some kind of civil unrest.
I have a medical condition- I am fool intolerant.

Today's "brain-teaser" the Air Force 1 music from "Nixon in China" was rather spoilt by the heavy hints given by "me, Sarah Walker".

But I thought it was the height of discourtesy not to have followed the dance sequence from the same opera with an apology, following the long dropout - presumably a broadcasting error.

Looks like, if you were to hit them on their heads, you'd get a perfect fifth. I'm not suggesting anyone should try this.

Today, Rob and his dancing guest were talking about a performance or Prokofiev's ballet Romeo & Juliet at the O2 Arena. They were both trying to appear "cool"' by saying it was OK for many of the audience to be wandering around, drinking and generally being inattentive and potentially distracting. The justification was to hark back to the 18th century when musak was composed by Mozart et al for this very purpose. This is facile logic. Unlike certain divertimenti, the ballet in question was not composed for background chat. But I suppose it all fits with R3's inadequate agenda.

For at least a week now, neither EC or Breakfast have played Variations on a Theme by ......I'm beginning to suffer withdrawal symptoms. Do you think they have worn out all the versions? Surely they must have a least one left somewhere. The bagpipe version maybe!

Particularly fatuous choice of piece for the little "played backwards" brain teaser slot today - a piece whose main tune sounds THE SAME played backwards or forwards!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

WHen they played Debussy's En Bateau and asked listeners to text, tweet or e-mail the mode of transport, I lost the will to live.

                      Anyone guess 'Bus'?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I turned on just in time to hear that they had had a lot of very interesting guesses as to the mode of transport and I could still have a go. I switched off again when SW started to read her lists.
At least we no longer have to suffer the Sara/Sarah handover

The mind boggles as to how all these guesses (presumably wrong) could have been 'interesting'. (Welcome Bendigedig )

I always take "interesting", in this context, to be a euphemism
