Are you familiar with Walter Mosley's great creation Socrates Fortlow?

I switched on in the middle of the very moving Bach recording, forgetting that at 10:45 it was still Twerp-Time!

I heard the end of the Bach in the car. The "O Sacred Head" was stunningly beautiful, but I had to switch off that man afterwards!

                      Precisely

I didn't catch the recording details, and they don't seem to have been posted. Did you hear who was performing? Was it one of those RIAS recordings?

No that was before.... After that. RC played a much older extract, from the St Matthew Passion.

... it was Furtwängler with Anton Dermota and D F-D and the Viennese, live, Easter 1954.

I can't really take his Bach ; I am not surprised Rob Cowan was in ecstasies.

There should be an equivalent for pseudo philosophers to that well known company motto: "Miracles we can do; the impossible takes a little longer".

"The obvious we can tell you; platitudes take a little longer to fabricate"?
