It's fine when it has the double r, I just don't understand parents naming their kids Aaron if they're going to pronounce it Aran/Arran! But then there are so many alternative spellings these days, people don't think of having to spell everything over the phone. I have 2 common forenames which both have always had alternative spellings, plus my uncommon married surname of only 3 letters! I hate giving my name over the phone.

I listened to a significant part of R3’s morning output yesterday, as on a long drive. I’ve not done that for months. Total trash, bits and pieces, but interspersed with trails and other trivia. In the past some people complained about Rob Cowan’s Programme - this was far worse. I will probably try not to repeat the experience.
