That's would be bizarre for essential classics but not for Essential Classics!

Would you have preferred the Bobby Darin version?

They're still doing the single movement link thing. This time it was the 1st movement of Mozart's 40th.

I sent a text message with the only correct answer.

            Hiya Eine Alpensinfonie,

Did you really! Watch out will be going down in the BBC stats as a willing and enthusiastic contributor to this format.

Surely there is also the possibility of pairing with the alternative orchestration Mozart saw fit to offer, too.

I'm sure they think of me as a troll.

Only if they play all four movements.

I know, especially in R3Land, one swallow doesn't make a summer, but yesterday Skellers, sitting in for EA's Suzy, presented, to my ears, a significantly different "show".
There were, if I heard correctly, a number of complete pieces, including a Mozart Symphony, and TWO trailers ......
It seems IS is on duty for the three weeks beginning Monday 29th so let's see if he and/or his producer can continue to move the goalposts .......

All eight would suit me, though not, I would guess, the EC production team.

For their "follow on" I have asked for Louis Vierne's Carillon de Westminster. I have from time to time asked for organ music.

                            Don't encourage them, BBM.

It will be interesting to see if you get selected bbm given the ongoing theory that the choice is made the week before and/or the daily deluge of suggestions they claim to receive .....

Not least because it suggests that there aren't that many people writing in with suggestions, if Bbm is constantly being chosen! If that is so, why do it at all, just for the gratification of a small percentage of listeners?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
