Actually please don't give them ideas.
Why a music day anyway? The Bbc has several dedicated music stations on Multiple platforms, all free to air.
What on earth is the point? To help the demographic that hasn t yet discovered that there is music on the BBC?
They somehow seem to get even dafter in the summer....I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

What fool said 'Music is just music'? 'Music' means 'Music-but-not-classical-music', idiot. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

My advice is to ditch BBC radio, and R3 in particular, until it sorts itself out.

Yet another "Ascending Lark" this morning (when will they let it rest?) - but later on guest Will Gregory chose some Luciano Berio (Concertino) which was followed by an arrangement of Chantar (Comtessa Beatriz de Dia) - both very interesting and new to me - and some intelligent discussion this time. Looking forward to hearing Berio on Radio 2 sometime!!
