As I said in my simultaneous post, rather a card!!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments

Thanks for the corrections - still an interesting character, as has been observed. I pass his "manor" several times a week - not the Tuscan one though!

Is there any likelihood of a reply/explanation from the person who started this thread? Or is this just another clever wind-up (in which case it's worked)?

If I start a thread, such as along these lines ... 'For pity's sake, wasn't that show execrable ...', or such, and I'm then followed a long queue of people disagreeing then I will come back and acknowledge as much.

It's only polite. Also, one looks a little less of an ass for having shot off from the hip in the first place.

Hardly a wind up! I gave my impression of Lucinda Lambton's selections. The thread has been used by some to air and share their clear enthusiasm for Ms Lambton's work, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Regrettably some of us do not have the opportunity or time to visit these pages with the frequency that others are able to manage.

I don't think I was expecting anyone to come back to justify their opinion and I can actually see how LL might get up some people's noses, but she happens not to, mine.
