Got it in one Panjandrum, it now makes up for around a quarter of the Bruckner broadcast on R3!

In which case, they've got it wrong, let's hope they can get it right in 2011/2012. There's a good case to call the man who presides over the policy Roger Wrong until he gets it right.

Surprised to hear Danse Macabre playing as I switched on my car radio before setting off for work this morning
So listened to a CD of Stanfords horn quintet instead

Awful hectoring trail for Free Thinking with clapping underneath the voices - drum 'n' bass in all but name.

that's the deepest thought that most of that awfull series will produce - generally a complete waste of time apart from a few interviews which could have fitted into the normal programmes

I had R3 on for 'company' earlier, had to switch off when Sara played Satchmo singing 'When the Saints come Marching in' because it's November 1st. Dumbing down............... although I like it in the right place.

I was just about to post the same thing, salymap - except I don't like it anywhere. Can't stand the voice. I actually switched on in the middle of it, and had that 'Am I on the right programme?' moment.

yep i was intrigued by that choice and the recording of Louis Armstrong .... not at all in the early style ..... and the vocal not hammed up ... the last two choruses of trumpet solo were anything but dumb btw ... sorry if you do not like the genre but it was neither dumb nor down to these ears, and as the news was all about St Pauls i appreciated not having some CoE malarkey ....
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
