Yes, and his Facebook contact address is facebook.com/BringBackRadio3.

I'd be delighted to be Facebook Friends with any of you. I'm the one with my head inside a camera. Of course, you may not want to be friends with someone who goes around with his head inside a camera....

Just noticed on FaceBook, RW has posted blog in advance of his Feedback appearance about Cuts

          Pretty sure he isn't ...

An excellent article in the Guardian. very disappointed with Grant Goddard's comment. He's off my Christmas card list.

From RW's Blog "After two weeks of soliciting comments, Roger Bolton told me that Feedback had received responses from 139 listeners, a disappointingly small number compared to the larger volume of communications we regularly receive on individual programmes on Radio 3"

Therefore he can assume the majority are happy with the changes

And what is his point in comparing a schedule of 20 years ago?

When considering those replies, shouldn't RW's response be to their quality, rather than quantity???

He's usually okay but he belongs to that set which is uninterested in culture and seems to imagine that Radio 3 is always being spoiled just because the BBC bigwigs love to listen to it. That's the only reason why it has better sound quality (allegedly) than any other BBC station. But Jenny Abramsky favoured R4, R5Live and R2. Plus R1 because you have to keep up with the rising generation. Tim Davie is into dance music and 6 Music. In fact .......<lightdawnsemoticon>
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

So bizarre is Facebook. Now I don't even get the option to add a comment.

Is this where we're commenting on RW on Feedback?

I found his response unimpressive and somewhat depressing. As with the letter FF received it's simply defensive posturing. There was no acknowledgement that the changes were alienating R3's traditional audience. And he wriggled out of Bolton's rather good challenge about the listening figures being static. I.e. new listeners might simply be balancing those who no longer tune in. And pooh-pooh'd [poo-poo'd?] the 139 emails which RB had suggested, in his introduction, were a lot.
                    :sigh of despair:

You can rely on the controller of Radio 3 to always be (W)right.

I see what you mean about having your head inside a camera HMVman! Like it! There seems to be a lot of disgruntled comments on the r3 page on facebook at the moment.

Exactly the same behaviour from Radio 2 Controller Bob Shennan when I and others got him on Feedback about 2 years ago when evening/weekend light music programmes were being messed about. He's still there. He has axed Melodies for You, and now the only LIVE light music show FNIMN is being reduced, more repeats, less work for orchestral musicians....

oh and meanwhile daytime R2 plays pop chart hits constantly, much like all the commercial stations do....

I understood from our our American ex-friend (she with the inch thick CV and it would seem attendance at all USA PhD-issuing universities) that he was unbeatable in debate and his razor sharp mind would make instant mincemeat of any who dared debate with him - all I can say is that his performance was just as bad as last time he appeared and this time he (or his staff) had full control of the medium and considerable time to organise.

He obviously didn't have her alongside him to spoonfeed him lines.
