Well that would certainly keep the yoof away - "CDs, what they?"

Not all bad, then. I did suggest they changed the name to 'Rob 'n' Jon's Golden Oldies' if they wanted to "broaden the audience".
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I still miss Ian Skelly, I enjoyed his relaxed flowing style, I cant say I'm too keen on Georgia Mann, she has some very strange inflections that become quite irritating!

It will not surprise anyone to hear I miss him too ….. afraid GM is a bit too Islington for some of us in the pit heaps we need, IMVVHO, breaks ….

In the pit heaps, Anton. Surely, among the pit heaps or even between them...

... perhaps you need levelling up!

I listened to EC yesterday, and GM was beyond dreadful - like a soppy schoolgirl, determined to out-simper even Katie Derham. As for the musical content… the arrival of “The Lark Ascending” actually came as a relief.

That is an unfortunate expression, EA.... not many contemporary "schoolgirls" (quite an age range in that term....) would use a self-expression even approaching "soppy"... let alone the hoary cliche "soppy schoolgirl"... what is this, Jackie Magazine ca 1970? What does "soppy" mean in this context anyway?

Local teens around here look pretty tough - you don't mess with them...! They have had heroes like Gaga, Grande and Taylor Swift around for a while now...
They tend to leave "My Little Pony" behind early on... if they didn't already decapitate it channeling Cara Dune...

Would anyone ever describe a male presenter they didn't like as a "silly schoolboy"?

Not sure about the soppy schoolgirl but surely out-simpering Katie Derham isn't possible.

Can't think of a current presenter, but if extended to certain politicians, yes …
