    Me too!

But I do sympathise with the folk who'll miss him on EC.

All supposition on my part, of course...
Yes, the idea that this is 'refreshing the schedule' is meaningless BBCbabble. GM has hardly been on Breakfast two minutes before she's being moved on again. IS had not been on Essential Classics as long as Suzy Klein has been. Whereas I can think of one day-time presenter, nothing against them, who's been in the same slot since Nicholas Kenyon's day - the only presenter to survive in the same slot for RW's entire controllership - and still going strong there.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Not least because the schedule remains the same, it's the presenters changing. Unless... no, I don't even want to think about yet another Beeb wheeze to further alienate existing listeners.

Known to some of us as “the afternoon”. Much enjoying his new stint... plus his presentation of the evening concert of recent performances by Tenebrae the week before last was exemplary, imvvho

Listen without limits, with BBC Sounds. Catch the latest music tracks, discover binge-worthy podcasts, or listen to radio shows – all whenever you want
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Looks like SK will be leaving quite soon too.

Suzy Klein will take on the newly created position of BBC head of arts and classical music TV from October 2021.

"On radio, she is the co-presenter of BBC Radio 3’s most listened-to show, Essential Classics. From October 2021, Klein will move aside from presenting to focus on her new senior leadership role."

Would it be foolish to hope that IS might return after all the outcry? I suspect so.

Hello, 106 and welcome! SK's new post has been quite extensively discussed on a separate thread. I'm beginning to lose track of who is presenting EC these days (not being a listener to the prog) but the departure of SK does force R3's hand this time. Who knows how they'll jump these days?

They could even change the name of the programme to - I don't know - perhaps CD Masters?
