Some of the jazz was good and interesting - or what I heard of it through the night; but, much though I am a jazz aficionado, I would much rather not have these over-compensatory floodings of the airwaves in the manner of "jazzathons" as substitutes for fairer all-round covering throughout the schedules. Anyone working multiple jobs, which is more and more the norm for most working age people these days, will never find the necessary time to catch up on iplayer.

Good points about flooding vs. all-round coverage, and catch up.

Alan Davey (R3 controller) is still pushing SOUNDS, from his tweet.

A lot going on tonight on @BBCRadio3 @BBCSounds live Jazz from 11.00 and then a Jazz all nighter, including from our lovely friends at @jazzfm …
Perhaps I should start referring to "our lovely" Swedish friends?

Just noticed that the unbroadcast (!?) TearJerker episode 6 (dated 13th Nov) is on SOUNDS. Eps. 5 & 7 have "Last on" / "On radio" dates.
So why does TearJerker need to eat in to TTN at all?

Perhaps they've forgotten the "excuse" they gave us for nabbing TTN space in the first place?
