A Sounds bot? Like a spambot, isn't it? Like when we have 8,000 'guests' lapping up the wisdom of our pages. Boosts our traffic no end
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Perhaps millions of computerised Catherine Bott bots could repair the real R3 listening figures?

Yes, the CatherineBot would be more than welcome!

Classic FM might have something to say about that.

It was lovely to hear her again on one of the Wigmore Hall concerts.
Humorous CatherineBot concept below - not a patch on the real thing!

The EPG text on my TV for 0500-0600 tomorrow morning on Radio 3 invites me to 'drift away'. I imagine that quite a few regular listeners have already done so.

Here's what we poor Brits missed - available to listen to via other European broadcasters, e.g. Swedish radio

05:14 Toivo Kuula; Sinfonia for orchestra (Op 36) "Jupiter"; Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Jorma Panula (conductor)
05:20 Arnold Bax; Legend for viola and piano; Steven Dann (viola), Bruce Vogt (piano)

06:04 Ludwig van Beethoven; String Quartet in B flat major, Op 18 No 6; Psophos Quartet
06:29 Johann Sebastian Bach; Concerto for oboe d'amore and string orchestra no 4 in A major, BWV.1055; Kalin Panayotov (oboe d'amore), Ars Barocca
06:44 Hector Berlioz; Le Roi Lear, Op 4 (Overture); BBC Philharmonic, Vassily Sinaisky (conductor)
                      Info from https://www.ebu.ch/files/live/sites/...May%202021.pdf

The CPE Bach "Hamburger Sonata" really cheered me up, looking forward to the rest - an interesting mix and Kuula is new to me.

No need to apologise at all. The Beeb’s ineptitude needs exposing. You are are merely suggesting a better way to do things.

The Naxos recording of the Svendsen symphonies is one of the CDs which gets played regularly chez nous.
