Thanks - I'd missed that

Oh dear. Woken too early, in discomfort, and in need of distraction I turned the radio on, forgetting today was Saturday... The latest iteration of Dumbtime was the last thing I needed and did not improve a difficult start to the day.
How long is this pointless (worse, counterproductive) experiment going to last, does anyone know?

Here's what we missed this morning.
Available to listen to via more enlightened European broadcasters, e.g. Swedish radio
https://sverigesradio.se/avsnitt/1693173 (press the big Play button and brush up your Swedish)
05:01 Fredrik Pacius; Overture from the Hunt of King Charles (1852); Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Jukka-Pekka Saraste (conductor)
05:08 Joseph Haydn; Sonata in G minor H.16.44 for piano; Kristian Bezuidenhout (fortepiano)
05:19 Johann Caspar Kerll; Exsulta satis - Offertorium for countertenor, tenor, two violins, viola and bc; Hassler Consort
05:29 Franz Xaver Sterkel; Duet No 3 for 2 violas; Milan Telecky (viola), Zuzana Jarabakova (viola)
05:37 Christoph Graupner; Flute Concerto in F, GWV 323; Bolette Roed (recorder), Arte dei Suonatori
05:47 Hugo Wolf; Italian Serenade; Ljubljanski Godalni Quartet
05:55 Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari; Suite Concertino in F major for bassoon...(Op.16) (1933); Christopher Millard (bassoon), CBC Vancouver Orchestra, Mario Bernardi (conductor)
06:16 Erik Gustaf Geijer; Sonata for Piano (four hands) in F minor; Stefan Bojsten (piano duo), Anders Kilstrom (piano duo)
06:37 Felix Mendelssohn; Sextet for piano and strings in D major, Op 110; Wu Han (piano), Philip Setzer (violin), Nokuthula Ngwenyama (viola), Cynthia Phelps (viola), Carter Brey (cello), Michael Wais (bass)
Around ~45:56 in, it sounds as if a music stand falls over during the Graupner. I almost feel I'm there...Last edited by AuntDaisy; 24-04-21, 07:25.

It will certainly continue - I can only assume that the BBC is exploiting some legal loophole that avoids paying streaming fees if the music had been broadcast otherwise I can't see other than possibly a small saving by not broadcasting Through the Night - they seem to have found a slot that only offends insomniac classical music listeners who I suspect are just a small very unimportant band of listeners wheras the intended 'yoof' market is flavour of the moment - after all think where the director came from - selling junk drink to the young via intensive advertising
