I have written asking for some charming Welsh folk song settings by Alun Hoddinott for St David's Day
I wonder if they will consider my request.
This is a great CD: Hoddinott at his imperious best (sweeping evocations of Welsh landscapes, WB Yeats, Rossetti and Ursula Vaughan Williams settings) , and most light hearted (Welsh folksong arrangements sung in English translations by the composer's wife Rhiannon Hoddinott)
