She doesn't make too bad a school bully, but she can't really compare with Ian Ogilvy in 'Ripping Yarns'.

Maybe this was the piece you were thinking of? Quite a good one by Nick Cohen in Standpoint last month:

"They will not make their broadcasts march at the pace of the slowest viewer, by clogging them with clunking explanations that infuriate informed viewers."
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

                  Deep breath, gradus....
The BBC Proms presenter says the classical concert series hasn't been dumbed-down - and reveals she enjoys great rap as much as Mozart's operas

Radio 3 presenter invited to write about the Proms for Radio Times and chooses … attention-grabbing concert?

                        'Self-elected snobs'? Hmm.
I wonder if Ms Klein ever regrets using such brutal language about R3's core audience, and in so doing neatly avoiding the point about whether there is any traction in the idea that TongProms et al do anything to win a 'younger audience' to CLASSICAL music?

Maybe someone should cut, paste and send this to Ms Klein today and ask if she still likes what she wrote in 2015?

Self-elected snobs v. manufactured scorn. I think she was reading more into the headline 'It's all gone Pete Tong', than was intended. Because she wanted to. Yes, it has been used as a jocular expression for 'It's All Gone Wrong', but in this context I think (judging by what followed the headline) it was just being used to describe a Pete Tong-fronted, er, gig

Can you see anything critical about that story? It's promoting the concert, surely?

But perhaps she didn't have time to read the story?
