How do these presenters get out of bed in the morning just to sit in front of a mike and churn out the same old stuff? Its tedious to have it regurgitated time after time - heaven knows what it must be like actually to have to present it.

Now listening to Nielsen's 6th symphony on a £5.99 download of all his symphonies. When was the 6th last heard on R3?

I normally check Ao3 via Iplayer so would have picked it that horrid Pavane (I can't stand the piece, nor can I stand the Cantique de Jean Racine which is also regularly churned out). Nielsen's 6th was only broadcast a couple of week ago, Nielsen is haviing a slightly better year so far after last year's dismal showing.

This is the Radio 2 programme, Friday Night Is Music Night, being transmitted also on Radio 3, rather than a Radio 3 programme sending a bit of a rocket over to Radio 2. Why? It's on Radio 2 every week of the year - if anyone wants to listen to it (or has ever wanted to listen to it at any time) they can hear it over there.

Perhaps they think Radio 3 listeners can't find Radio 2, or vice versa. It does seem completely pointless and a waste of airtime to broadcast the same thing on both stations. Can you imagine BBC1 and 2 showing exactly the same programme at the same time?

On switching on my bathroom radio I was 'met' by Faure's Pavane again. A short bit of Kodaly's 'Hary Janos'. Why not play it all, not that long.?
