    Concertgebouw Afternoon on 3

What about a series on R3 from the RAH without any piece by any British composer, but exclusively CFM war horses from the continent?

This is what is happening with this week's Ao3 series re the Concertgebouw: not one single work by a Dutch composer, not even the ones sometimes emerging in TtN

    Extremely stupid and lazy programming

No DesPrez, Obrecht or Sweelinck, van Bree, Zweers, Diepenbrock, Dopper, Vermeulen, Pijper, Smit, Badings, de Leeuw, Louis Andriessen or Keuris...

Yes it does seem a mite unadventurous. A bit better than CFM though, surely.

There is another Haitink Bruckner 7 to add to my collection. Anyone know the date of this one?

I do wonder, though, how often the Concertgebouw itself plays Dutch music these days?

The orchestra commissions up to ten orchestral works annually, has got a composer in residence, in Jubilee years (and 2013 is one) approximately the same number of commissions for non-Dutch composers on top of that (in 1988 Berio, Lutoslawski, Schnittke among these).
These are basically meant for the Grote Zaal (the concert hall in which generally speaking orchestras perform, though I've got cherished recollections of a concert given by Martha Argerich et al playing chamber music)

The organisation running the concertgebouw-building does the same for chamber music, meant for the Kleine Zaal (the little concert hall meant for smaller ensembles, chamber music and solo recitals).

I should have said that I had the 2007/8 Concertgebouw season brochure to hand when typing my last post and could find only works by de Leeuw and Ketting which prompted my comment.
