    Unseasonal music

I see that on Classic Collection on Good Friday we have Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Festival Overture, and on Easter Monday we have Rossini's Stabat Mater. These are both enjoyable works, but why do we have to have them the wrong way round? Stabat Mater uses a text specific to Good Friday, and the Rimsky-Korsakov uses tunes specific to Easter. Could they not have been scheduled on the appropriate days?

Rossini's Stabat Mater is the subject of BaL on Saturday and it is normal for the recommended version to be played in Classic Collection the following Monday. In this case it would make no sense to broadcast it on Friday. The fault, if any, is in the scheduling of BaL.
