But if the 'average duration of listening' is half an hour (I believe 20 minutes is indeed nearer the mark) how much music is the 'average listener' going to hear if there is a trail, a text, an intro and back announcement …? This is an argument for having longer pieces of music, rather than short ones. That way listeners stand a better chance of hearing 20-30 mins of music.
