Oooh...how about we have a pointless week with Petroc down in the forest glen. The Breakfast team never cease to amaze me that they can still find new ways to plumb the depths of banality.
See you've all been wrong - someone has just tweeted The Squire to say that Buckaroo Holiday is very rarely, if ever played these days ...... and the great man has, of course, obliged ....... Rumpole et al - it will be available on iplayer for 30 days

I just switched on for five minutes while dealing with a recalcitrant printer, and was fortunate to catch this rare item.
Lucky me !!
Have a nice day .
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
So....Georgia Mann gets a permanent role, and CBH is off to NY. ;-O
Well, good luck to CBH GM not perfect but we’re always thankful for small mercies. GM has a nice broadcasting voice but needs to check up on the info.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
I see we're all getting sucked into the idea of inflating the importance of the presenter, over and above the musical content.
Roger Wright et al would have been proud of us.
But if there is no musical content to speak of then isn't that inevitable?
Then again, speaking as one of the occupants of the dunces corner( rather than playing devils advocate above), the presenter is of more interest than might be the case to other forumites.
There now follows the usual disclaimer - no I don't think it's what R3 should be doing etc, etc.

But they are ‘important’ if they cause listeners to reach for the Off button or just seethe and put up with them. That isn’t what RW and popular radio intend.
