I couldn't help noticing that the forum's most distinguished opera critic is no stranger to his tablet or smartphone, having been in touch with CD Review (yesterday, re Barenboim/Brahms) and Sunday Morning (today, re Islamey), but there may be a perfectly good explanation . I was guilty of a similar lapse myself a few weeks ago (on EC, on a subject close to my heart) but confessed to the Forum authorities and did appropriate penance .

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

damn, I missed him each and every time.

Incidentally, today I am undertaking some DIY, so this thread is about right between coats of paint.

All a bit heavy on that other " trending" thread.

Now THATS an idea. a button for " Trending on FoR3 forum". Very modern. Cals? *

Oh, and AG, I'm sure you are usually right.

AND ...I was thinking just yesterday , ( no I really was), that it is high time you " curated" a new " List" thread.
            Any thoughts?

            * in case of any doubt at all, this is meant in jest !!!!!!!!!!

There I go again.................making sweeping assertions about all and sundry. It goes without saying that I exclude the excellent present company from such assumptions!

And, in balanced fairness, there is also at least one "desperately insecure individual" here present who has never contacted Breakfast - and not just because I don't know the address.

                  here you go Ferney.

                  3breakfast@bbc.co.uk

                  No excuses.
                  Or is it inexcusable ?

although I think they probably only want to here from secure people.
                  er....

Oh, that's alright, then - my Ward is on the secure unit.

(I know I'm going to regret this) ... go here, teams, and browse the 4 pages of 'violent smileys'

surprised this one doesn't turn up on this forum more often.

Right painting is finished, so beer, proper music, food, smug/relieved feeling all in order.

I believe I have deployed it a couple of times when Beefy and 2Gongs were going at it!

No, I think KD is Clemency's mother, and they have a job share, one baby-sitting, the other presenting Breakfast.
Oh, mon Dieu! - will we be hearing them playing the Bach double soon? - and will it feature on Strictly Dumb Prancing?...

I would have gladly had my name read out on breakfast if it had led to some Howard Ferguson being played, but they ignored my request.

Perhaps, as ts suggests, we should try again ...
