Oh my dear Skellers - what have you done?

"Ian is a full time writer and has worked closely for a decade with HRH The Prince of Wales helping him to articulate the detail of his initiatives. They have written a book together, Harmony, which was published internationally in 2010"

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

& he does need all the help he can get.

Available from Amazon for £4.95 (hardback) or £1.67 used or new.

But the co-author/ghost writer is given as a 'Tony Juniper' - perhaps Ian wanted to conceal his involvement, or did HRH have a team of writers?

On the link I gave some while ago they are both co-authors with HRH.

But in the 92 minutes between our posts the price had dropped by nearly a pound.

Usually, on the 'Bargains' thread, the price increases between posts.

'Articulate the detail of his initiatives'?

                The mind boggles.

Might be the usual Amazon online mess where the same work appears, slightly differently described, in various places. And sometimes not at all in the places where you expect to find it.

I know he's royal, & therefore semi-divine in some eyes, but honestly - toothpaste on toothbrush, urine samples, writing a book - can't he do anything himself?

Tony Juniper a former head of Friends of the Earth (England Wales NI) so perhaps there to add credibility to HRH?

Not even produce a TV programme about Parry on his own (actually, I thought it quite welcoming as a no-nonsense approach to a less than obvious composer, not that I would suggest HRH for a regular slot on Breakfast).

                            Hell's teeth! He didn't, I hope ... ?

"Good morning Ian. Please say good morning to my husband ******, who's listening at work this morning. He's probably knee deep in spaghetti carbonara by now (he's a chef). Can't wait for our coffee date later. ******, marking books in ******."

It doesn't even mention a piece of music .

[And anyway, Ian, we don't need to know about your coffee dates ...]

An article in this week's Spectator by, surprisingly, Nick Cohen - "The Charles problem" is, not surprisingly, short on praise for Charles 3.........
