Excellent, after this morning. I had to be home a bit later than usual. I listened to a bit of Essential Classics. Just in time to hear the music played backward segment. What a load of.......

Lost my respect for RC for agreeing to be involved with such an inane ploy. So I won't be listening to Building a Library tomorrow as I am afraid he will play Barok backwards.

      You mean Kotrab, shurely?

I wouldn’t be so hasty. You may find Rob Cowan as he really is.

I agree with that. I'm a fan of the "Real RC"

especially great if you don't already know all those classic performances.

I wouldn't mind quite so much if he played it with a straight bat. But he gave it all that 'I think I know what it is but I don't know for certain' nonsense. Of course you don't Rob, despite the fact that you have the thing lined up to play in a forwards direction in 15 minutes time. Credit us with SOME ability to discern the inherently improbable. Mind you, the list of wrong answers submitted that he gave afforded some amusement.

And I suppose I was blind-sided by the fact that Skellers appears to have been granted a PLANNED appearance rather than a stand-in.

A second announcement re preliminary survey results: That should please a lot of listeners who responded (and bear in mind that the majority are not forum members!).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Do you mean to say the man really does know something about music? Hides it well, doesn't he.

What announcement is that FF? They don't intend to rename R3 R3 Lite do they. Would be more than appropriate.

I was referring to my reply on the CD Review forum about the arrival of tweets.

The original survey announcement was here.

We (not R3) are surveying listeners about 'Presentation' (very broadly interpreted as how Radio 3 adds to or detracts from listeners' enjoyment of listening to '(classical) music.
